OBJETIVOS:
POSSESSION Possession shows that a noun belongs to someone or something. In English to show ownership, we add -s' or 's after the noun that refers to the owner. For example Bart's sister. However in Spanish apostrophes are not use. Possession or ownership is shown by using the preposition de. In English the name of the owner always comes before the item they own. For example Bart's sister. But in Spanish this order is reversed with de between the owner and the item owned. So Bart's sister becomes la hermana de Bart (the sister of Bart) ¿ Quién es la prima de Maggie? Who is Maggie's cousin? La prima de Maggie es Ling. Maggie's cousin is Ling. ¿Cómo se llama el padre de Homer? What is the name of Homer's father? El padre de Homer se llama Abraham. Homer's father is called Abraham. ¿Cómo se llaman las hermanas de Marge? Las hermanas de Marge se llaman Patty y Selma.* What are the names of Marge's sisters? Marge's sisters are called Patty and Selma. ACTIVIDADESEXTRA CREDIT
